Must Be grade II certified to paddle the Waimakariri River or have raced this course (Brass Monkey) before in same or similar boat.
All competitors to wear a life jacket and have fixed buoyancy of 20 litres or more.
Div 1= Olympic K1 Hulls, racing Kayaks or multi-sport boat.
Div 2= Slower multi-sport boat-Esprit, Eclipse, etc.
